Privateer

Privateer brings the classic Danish strategy title Kaptajn Kaper i Kattegat back to modern browsers trough JavaScript.
The original game, documented on Danish Wikipedia, challenged players to trade, plunder, and outmaneuver rivals across the Kattegat. This JavaScript version preserves that spirit while remaining faithful to the legacy release.

The codebase is a direct port (with permissions) of Rune's Java Applet.
Authentic square-wave soundtracks were resurrected from DOS BASIC PLAY strings via the companion STR2WAV tool.
